Sister Winter

It has been so cold the past week, and the coming week it will remain cold. Temperatures below zero are sort of rare here, but I love it. I love the snow, the cold, the silent world, the crunchy footsteps. And I especially love sitting inside at the fireplace. I played a game of ‘Settlers of America’ this afternoon for the first time ever (and won, boo-yah!). Boardgames are such a nice (and rare) way to spend your winter-y Saturday afternoon.

So much for the weather, I finished my exams and began a new semester. I’ll be in Paris in 5 weeks or so, I’m looking forward to go back! I hope all is well with you guys, and excusez moi for sporadically blogging.

It’s all about the shoes my friend, just the shoes. – No but seriously, wrap yourself in warmly and hear the sound of nothingness in the woods. It’s amazing.

Hey Louise! These are beautiful images. I always wait for your posts, they’re lovely!

If you don’t mind me asking, what camera do you use? I’ve been wanting to buy a DSLR for ages, and I think I’ve saved up enough for one… Hopefully hahah.

Aw thanks Mimi! I use a good old Canon eos 400d with (most of the time) a Canon 50mm f/1.8 II lens. But if I bought a new one, it’d definitely be one with video-recording!

Your photographs are beautiful. It’s summer in Australia at the moment and I miss winter terribly so these are a lovely reminder of the weather that I look forward to in a few months (sans snow).

These pictures are so lovely Louise! I have to say, experiencing snow for the first time was the weirdest thing, haha. I liked it when it was crunchy, but definitely not the slushy type. Also, yay for Paris!
